It’s interesting to see how home prices are shifting across the country right now. In August, prices per square foot dropped year over year in 36 out of the 50 largest U.S. metro areas, with the biggest changes in places like Austin, Tampa, and Memphis. Even median list prices have softened in the Northeast, South, and West, while the Midwest held steady—largely because of those higher mortgage rates we’re all feeling.
Here in Hinesville, I keep a close watch on how national trends might ripple through our own neighborhoods. Every buyer and family I work with deserves to understand what’s happening, so they can make choices that fit their lives and plans—whether this is your first home or your next step. If you ever have questions about how these shifts could impact your move, just know I’m always here to talk things through.
